Parisian Ball 2017
Under the honorable patronage of Their Majesties King Simeon II and Queen Margarita
On October 6, 2017 in hall “Sofia” of “Grand-Hotel Marinela” the Fourth Charitable Parisian Ball took place. It was in favour of Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation. The Ball was organized by Mr. Christo Kourteff, its founder and president. The event assembled in Sofia international elite at the highest level.
The French Ambassador H.E. Erick Lebedel and his wife Brigitte Lebedel, Dr. Osmane Aidi, businessman who has donated the most impressive collection of Asian artefacts to our National Art Gallery and his nephew Numan Aidi welcomed the guests. Among the honourable guests were Mrs. Iliana Raeva, chairman of the Federation and her husband – the football legend Nasko Sirakov.
At the lottery and the auction BGN 15 830 were raised. Items at the auction were: French cognac “Martel XO“, granted by H.E. Erick Lebedel Ambassador of France, champagne “PIPER-HEIDSIECK Rare“ – 2002, “Cartier“ and “MONT BLANC“ accessories. The biggest amount was given for a painting, donated by Their Majesties King Simeon II and Queen Margarita – “Landscape on the island of Brioni”. The author, Archduchess Maria-Theresa Austrian – daughter of the Portugal kind and wife of the younger brother of Emperor Franz Joseph, made the painting as a special gift for Queen Ioanna Bulgarian. The painting was bought for BGN 7000 by Gabriela Koleva – descendant of General Pencho Zlatev, Bulgarian Prime Minister in 1935.
The gymnastics presented three compositions from their repertoire.
Under the sounds of Michael Arnaoudov`s orchester, the guests were dancing and also were enjoying of champagne “PIPER-HEIDSIECK“, French wines and six-step French menu.
