Vienna Ball in Sofia

The Ball that took place on February 17th, 2018 in “Royal Ballroom” of ‘Balkan’ hotel was organized by Vienna Club and the Austrian Embassy. It was under the patronage of Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova, Sofia Mayor and H.E. Roland Hauser, Ambassador of Republic of Austria.
Among the 350 attendants were and members of the Union Club. Mr. Hristo Kourteff, president of the Club was accompanied by Mrs. Maria Konaktchieva. They participate on the Ball of its very beginning.
The wonderful program performed by gifted young dancers accompanied by professional orchestra was a promising ground for this brilliant activity. The lottery and successful tender conduct by Mrs. Maya Kotseva raised funds for the charity goals of Vienna Club. On highest price was sold a tennis-racket of Grigor Dimitrov. The businessman Plamen Tashkov paid for it BGN 6,000.00. The total amount raised to support children centers of family type was BGN 23,000.00.
Chef Gotfrit Ganstrer that had arrived from Vienna exclusively for the event had prepared different temptations.
The guests danced till dawn. They remained very happy of this extremely beautiful, useful and charity initiative that continues to stabilize and develop the excellent relations between Vienna and Sofia.
